Felt Gift Card Envelopes Tutorial

Happy Monday to you all! With Thanksgiving in the rearview mirror, it’s officially time to turn our sights toward holiday gift giving. I suspect many of you snagged some gift cards over the Black Friday shopping madness, so I wanted to remind you about this fun tutorial for felt gift card envelopes that I did for the Havel's Sewing blog.

Felt Gift Card Envelopes

They are so quick to make and add a little something special and homemade to what can seem like an impersonal gift. The felt is easy and fun to work with, and I appreciate having a handwork project where I can sit on the couch by our twinkling Christmas tree while I craft. No machine required! This would even be a good one to bring the kids in on.

Felt Gift Card Envelopes Back

I get all of my felt from Benzie Design and used their wool blend felt for these envelopes. It comes in lots of colors and sizes, and it's a dream to work with. The embroidery and hand sewing was done with DMC embroidery thread.

The tutorial includes templates and instructions for three different designs, plus embellishment ideas. Click on over to check it out!
