Fabric Palette Friday #7: Springtime in Winter

Happy Fabric Palette Friday! How’s the weather where you are? We seem to have finally settled into winter this week, with lots of gray all around and icy cold temps, so I decided to bring a little spring into this week’s palette. These fabrics were pulled as part of a much larger stack that I’m using for a hand-applique project I’ve been working on, but I couldn’t resist drawing these out into a little grouping of their own. They feel so fresh right now. Some are great basics (Carolyn Friedlander’s Architextures Crosshatch is a forever favorite), some have lived in my stash for years and been used here and there as they felt right, and others (especially those great icy blues) are new acquisitions that I just love. I want to use those blues in every project. What fabrics have caught your eye this week?
