Fabric Palette Friday #21: Feeling Moody

Happy Fabric Palette Friday! This week, I was feeling a simply solids palette, so I headed to my solids stash (I keep them separate from prints — what about you?) and just started pulling colors. My original intention was to stray from my normal color palette, but I’m not sure I strayed very far. What can I say? We like what we like.

This moody palette evokes all the goodness of a snowy winter day, quite the opposite of the sunny summer day outside my window as I write this. I suppose we’re sometimes pulled away from where we’re currently at, even if it’s a perfectly lovely place to be. It’s good to expand your options. Treat yourself to a little solids play — get out those color cards, cut them up, and start rearranging. You might be surprised where you end up.
