Show Some Love to the Pumpkin Love Block Pattern!
Happy October! It has been such a busy season of work, play, and life, but when a little creative inspiration struck recently, I knew I couldn’t let it pass without grabbing the opportunity to share a little something with you. So show a little love to the new FREE Pumpkin Love block pattern!
The Pumpkin Love block pattern is designed for foundation paper piecing (FPP) and includes paper-piecing templates for two block sizes: 4” and 6” finished. It also includes instructions for turning the larger block into a coaster or trivet! The size options for this block make it perfect for sampler-style quilts or all kinds of other projects, so you can use it however you like. I can’t wait to see it in your crafts!
The units in both blocks are quite small (but, don’t worry, not TOO small), so it’s the perfect time to dive into your scraps. And you can feel free to go as scrappy as you like! I used one fabric for each “layer” of my pumpkins and a single fabric for the background on the small block, but I used a variety of low-volume scraps for the background on the 6" block and really love how it turned out.
And while the pieces may be small, they’re all very simple shapes, so if you’re new to FPP, don’t let it scare you!
So let’s get down to sewing! You can grab the free Pumpkin Love block pattern by signing up for my newsletter below. The newsletter is the best way to stay informed when new blocks and patterns arrive. I only send it about once a month, and it’s always chocked full of fun new things. Give it a try!
